Ukraine

As the world's hearts ache collectively for Ukraine (mine included) there are two narratives I haven't seen expressed much and I thought I might take a shot at it.

1. My heart also arches for the good people of Russia for whom the sanctions being imposed on their country are coming at a great cost for these individuals financially and economically.

2. My heart arches for the well-intentioned soldiers of Russia who are trying to support a cause they may not fully believe in themselves but are bound by duty to their country. My own father Kraig Moll tells the story of returning from Vietnam and having people literally spit on him for having served his country. Anyone who knows my father knows him to be a man of great standing and unending compassion for others.

War is a very complex subject. No one really wins in the end. But we hope and pray the outcome is net positive for as many people as possible.
