Screen Grab Confab, vol. III
~ 01 March 2005 ~
You know the drill. More screens, more fun.
Vol. I and Vol. II have produced some amazing stuff. You all amaze me.
Here’s a recap of the rules:
- Do a screen grab of whatever you’re working on right now. It could be a layout, it could be print, it could even be code.
- Crop a 320px × 320px portion of it at 100%. Obviously, the entire screen grab won’t fit within those dimensions, but the point is to only whet our appetites and make us want more.
- Post as a comment using <img src=”” /> with the grab hosted on your own server. Feel free to link the image to a full-size version, but only the 320px square is required.
Please enjoy.
Note
I assume it won’t be too long before a Flickr outcry is simply too loud to ignore (received a few comments last time around). Feel free to leave your thoughts regarding a Flickr-powered Screen Grab Confab.235 Comments

There are many beautiful sites that I wish to read in a traditional browser. I can, however, use their RSS feeds to determine when they were all last updated and display links in weighted-list fashion. This is a home-brew script to do just that.
Mmmm, XmlHttpRequest…

Currently working on the Intranet reporting site code for my new job. (Job’s changed since the last Confab where I was redoing the company’s website… it never got published before I left and I doubt it will now).

Finishing up an online document markup system written in Flash and Ruby on Rails for school.
Yes, same job as last time. Some stumbles on the content and focus of the site has given me a bit of time to tweak the design a bit though…and better yet, it’s not my fault!
Presentationless is a tool I spent a couple days making last week. It allows you to view a page without presentational markup. It also removes flash, java, and javascript, replaces images with alt text, and linearizes tables. The page explaining it is in progress. Check it out and let me know what you think.

A new site design (looking for a design job). Don’t like what I have so far… :(
This is probably the wrong place to post this, but is there a site around that I (as a developer) don’t know about for getting in touch with designers? Either for pay jobs or maybe working with a designer on a non-commercial site that can pad their resume?
Website for the coolest youth service in Germany.
At least, it’s our long-term goal :)

I am excited that this project is now live. Click the image to take a gander. It’s unlike any ISP support site out there.
And hey, Cameron, I got the Advanced MD brochure. Of course you don’t need me to tell you that it is great… but I will say it anyway. It’s great! Mighty fine—and educational! I am entering medical school this fall, so this product is of particular interest to me.

I just want to say please, *please* don’t turn it into Flickr. It is really how it takes so long for the loading and browsing. I like the way you can just, as I said before, scroll down and see all the shots. Cheers, nice site!
